Fitness Classes Info
You’ll find a warm welcome at The Place Dance and Fitness Studio, the place where you can simply turn up and do your favourite exercise class without the cost of an expensive membership. Our pay as you go classes are run by top quality instructors who are well known in North London for their professionalism, their enthusiasm towards exercise and most importantly for adding the fun factor to getting fit.
The Place offers a friendly, supportive environment to come and enjoy various workout sessions, whether you’re a beginner or an athlete, there will be something to suit you.
The Studio is fully equipped, all you need to bring is water and a small towel. Here are the class descriptions, take a look below and decide which class to try first!
ViPR is a very effective whole body workout using a rubber
weighted tube that can be lifted, dragged, thrown, stepped
on and pretty much any movement you can think of.
This class makes training fun and is designed to:
- Tone muscle and burn calories through strength and movement training
- Be safe, as it is made from rubber
- Improve cardiovascular training
- Be suitable for all ages and abilities.
Yoga is a form of exercise that uses slow movements and stretching. It is good for increasing flexibility and balance. It is also good for relieving stress and relaxing. Yoga typically means ‘union’ between the mind, body and spirit. It involves the practice of physical postures and poses. Yoga provides complete exercise to the body, because it massages all the internal organs and glands. This in turn reduces the risk of many diseases. This class can create a positive, permanent difference to the lifestyle of anybody practising it on a regular basis.
When participants see a Zumba class in action, they can’t wait to give it a try. Zumba classes feature exotic rhythms set to high-energy Latin and international beats. Before participants know it, they’re getting fit and their energy levels are soaring! There’s no other fitness class like a Zumba Fitness-Party. It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating! Legs Bums & Tums
This Class includes an aerobic warm-up followed by a series of exercises concentrating on the Legs,Bums and Tums; then a stretch section at the end of class which aids relaxation and increases the flexibility of the muscles as well as lengthening them after exercise. Benefits of this class include:

Pilates is A body-conditioning technique designed to stretch, strengthen and balance the body. Pilates targets the deep postural muscles within the body through a series of exercises aimed at building muscle strength in your back, abdominals & hips, whilst rebalancing the body.
